Children's Ministry: Do you love kids and want to help serve the community of Kirksville? Then Children's Ministry wants you! Come help out at a Parent's Night Out, where volunteers watch anywhere from 40-80 children (or more) at the Crossing for free. We do this once a month to give the parents in the community a night off. You can also help teach Sunday school for the staff kids during first service or get involved in babysitting opportunities for bible studies at nearby churches. There are so many ways to love on kids in this community! Help make an even bigger impact this year!
Hospitality: Hospitality ministry focuses on greeting and making people feel welcome in CCF whether simply greeting them at the door or going deeper by having coffee or meal together. The ministry also puts on events such as Meet & Greets. We are always looking for more people to help greet and follow up on new people.
Kenya: The Kenya Ministry focuses on the partnership that CCF has with a school in Elangata Enterit in Kenya. CCF is the sole sponsor for the school and partners with the native people to provide school supplies, food, water and anything else the school needs to be successful. It takes $600 a month to meet our commitment and the kids are beyond appreciative. This ministry is a wonderful way to reach out to those on the other side of the world and show Jesus to kids and teachers who worship the same God.
Nursing Home: Nursing Home Ministry coordinates weekly trips to Twin Pines nursing home, as well as helping students adopt a grandparent. If nail painting, card playing, and story telling are your things, check out nursing home ministry.
Spring Break: Spring Break Ministry plans the yearly CCF spring break trip. Every March, CCF takes around 180 students to a Christian summer camp to help out by doing about a million man hours of manual labor. We clear trails, we paint, we build, we demolish. We play games, we have small groups, we eat lots of food. Spring Break Ministry coordinates students to arrange travel, prepare food, plan games, create work teams, and much more!
